Changelog
What’s new in each version of Challenger.
Version 0.2.0
- Challenger now speaks Spanish as well as English. Switch languages from the header at any time.
- Dark mode, with a switch on the home page. Until you pick one, it follows your device.
- Tournaments are saved, so they survive server restarts.
- Smarter Swiss pairings: no rematches whenever they can be avoided, and players face others of a similar standing.
- With an odd number of players, the bye goes to the lowest ranked player who hasn’t had one yet.
- Pairings are worked out in the organizer’s browser, which keeps the server quick for everyone.
- A tournament can have up to 100 players.
- Reopen the latest round to correct a result, or discard it altogether.
- Two organizers editing at once no longer overwrite each other: the second one is asked to check the latest version first.
- Everyone following a tournament sees new results and rounds as they happen, without reloading.
- Works better on phones, with a keyboard and with screen readers.
Version 0.1.0
- Create tournaments and register their players.
- Swiss-system rounds, with a result for every match.
- A ranking with tiebreakers: wins, draws and losses, points scored, and the opponents’ results.
- Roll back the latest round.
- A demo tournament to look around.
